Before you get started as a member of our sales team, the Dept.of State requires all real estate "salespersons" to become licensed. The following is a brief description of what is required to join our brokerage and start selling property:
Candidates
must complete a state certified Salesperson course offered at:

The course can either be completed in a classroom setting - where attendance is required, or can be completed online - so you may work at your own pace.

This course fulfills the educational requirement for NYS Salesperson licensing. Successful completion of the course requires at least 90% attendance and passing the final exam (all multiple choice questions). Topics include: License Law, Law of Agency, Legal Issues, Contracts, Finance, Human Rights and Fair Housing, Valuation, Construction and Environmental Issues, Commercial and Investment Properties, Property Management and more.
Upon
successful completion of the salesperson course, you will receive
a "Certificate of Completion". License applicants must then
register online with the DOS to set up a test date. Along with passing
your multiple choice test, you will need to submit an application
to the DOS signed by your sponsoring broker. See license instructions

As an added incentive, our agency will reimburse you for the cost
of the course upon the sale of your first property.
